Yes, it does still snow in Telluride
Right now Telluride is in between two winter storms. The first one packed a good punch, delivering 21 inches of snow in the last 48 hours. And we are waiting on the next wave of moisture which could start any moment and bring another foot of snow the San Juan Mountains.
The ski conditions in Telluride, went from bleak to incredible. The snow on Lift 9 was plentiful and coverage good. It is finally deep enough to ski into the trees, with many of the landmines covered.
It's been a bizarre snowfall pattern this season. A big October storm, then dry. A big Christmas/New Year's storm, they dry. And now? A big late February storm. Let's hope Telluride gets back into a more normal pattern in which we get snow more often, even if it doesn't amount to 3 feet in 3 days.
