Why Telluride is Lucky- Music Edition

Why Telluride is so lucky?  For the amount of live music that comes through Telluride Town Park as part of three major music festivals and the occasional one-off or Ride Festival event.

How did I come to this conclusion today?  Well, I went to see some music in Carbondale, Colorado.  To be exact a fundraiser for families of children with cancer.  Featuring Dark Star Orchestra.  The venue?  My buddies at Snob Productions had to build a temporary stage on the driving range of the River Valley Ranch Golf Course.  The ground was uneven, and support services were a little random.

Don't get me wrong, they put of a great event, that really was supported by the Carbondale Community and there were even folks from Aspen there.  There were great mountain views and you could even see Mt Sopris.

But. Its. Not. Telluride Town Park.  With a multi-million dollar stage.  Catering facility.  Infrastructure for food tents.  Adjacent to the downtown area.  Box Canyon views.  Walk to your lodging.  We are truly lucky to have a facility of this nature that also hosts other events, like Shakespeare in the Park.
