Why Networking is so Important- The Austin Edition

Why is networking with Sotheby's International Realty Agents so important.  Well?  There are many reasons, but the main reason is based around the fact that the Client, whether Buying or Selling, gets the best service from a Realtor, even if they do not know them firsthand.  We are a team and share knowledge and if we can recommend a Realtor to our Buyers and Sellers that we know first-hand are the best in the business?  That's a win-win for all! 

So this past week, I found myself in Austin Texas, meeting with 800 Sotheby's Agents as part of the Texas Networking Event.  About half of these Agents were from Texas, and dominated by Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio.  These are great feeder markets for Telluride clients, so it was important to be there.  Texas folks dominate our town, and that is OK!

In addition, there were Agents from all over the Country, from Las Vegas to Miami, from Greenwich Connecticut to Seattle.  Many markets were represented at the event held downtown at the Fairmont.

But we are not there just to meet people and have dinners and cocktails.  There are educational components and motivational speeches.  Idea sharing.  Even a few meetings with our executives.  

And I won't lie.  I even had some fun along the way.

And we get to experience a great town like Austin and learn about what makes it special. Even if it's just the fine dining at ATX Cocina, or some BBQ at Tony Blacks!
