The Divide. The Closest Public Golf to Telluride

Now open for the Summer/Fall Season!  The Divide Ranch and Club.  A wonderful championship golf course located high above Ridgway on Log Hill Mesa.

Door to Door from downtown Telluride?  About a 50 minute drive.  And actually, I really like the Divide's layout, as its a little more of a links style course.  Well, I dont like the double dog leg double blind par 5 Hole #12.

But you'll find some water to go over, big pine trees to navigate, fantastic Cimarron and Sneffels Mountain views, pleny of deer and Elk, and just a chill vibe.

Early conditions were good, the greens were teh best I've seen there in 10 years.  And they are working hard at makign it better.  How did I play?  Great start, 40 on teh front, with three missed easy putts, but fell apart to a 47 on the back!  Oh well.

Don't forget, the town of Ridgway has a cool foodie scene going on, so make sure you leave time to go out to dinner.  The Hearth in the old firehouse next to The Park is about as cool of a restaurant as you will find.  Spence at Eatery 66 will take good care of you and Greenwoods has a little bit of a Souther Vibe going for it.  Quick choices, too from ceviche at the Costa Rican place, and Tacod Del Gnar.
