Telluride Ski Resort opened its lifts on Thursday and it was a fun Thanksgiving weekend of skiing and more. 

The snow for early season was really good, easily the best I've seen in 5 years.  By Saturday the Lift 5 Polar Queen and Lift 6 Apex pods were open, in addition to the typical Village Express runs.

The snow was soft and I even found some untracked spots. The weather was insane.  Close to 40 degrees each day.  Cocktails were mandatory on the mountain at Gorrono, and even went to the Apres Ski Happy Hour at Cosmopolitan, on Saturday and got the $19 steak special at the bar, $9 wine, and $12 shrimp tempura roll.  Oh, and they have THE best bread in town, too.

Winning.

And?  Pray For Snow.
