Telluride Postpones Opening Day
Telluride postpones opening day until Friday December 3rd. Simply put, November has not only been too dry throughout the Southwestern United States, it also has been too warm. Other resorts such as Steamboat and Solitude have also pushed back.
Despite the bad news, the upper part of the mountain is in very good shape, thanks to 3 solid October storms. The Telluride Ski Resort is doing all it can, but warm temperatures impede the ability to make snow to get the Meadows and Lift 4 pods open.
Thanksgiving is a great time to still visit Telluride! Why? Great restaurants, and the ability to tune out and just relax and watch the world go by.
