Telluride Delays Opening
Well. We're late to the party.
The Telluride Ski Resort Announced last week that its Thanksgiving Day opening has been delayed to December 2nd or 8th.
We have been hit by two common enemies. Almost no precipitation in the last four weeks, and unseasonably warm temperatures that prevent the Telluride Ski Resort from making enough snow to open our legendary resort.
So what to do? If you have plans to spend Thanksgiving in Telluride, there are still many things you can do. Take a hike up the Bear Creek Trail. Skate at the Hanley Pavilion, or better yet bring your Hockey Gear for open skate. A Thanksgiving dinner at the Hotel Madeline. Relax on a bench on Main Street. Get a permit and cut down your Christmas Tree. Get a spa treatment at the Peaks Resort and Spa. Enjoy some downtime before the resort opens.
Or like me? I booked a last second trip to Punta Mita to surf and play golf. But I want to ski and ride!
PRAY FOR SNOW
