Telluride Blues and Brews Festival
Telluride Blues and Brews Festival is officially over and what a great weekend it was. I do not even know where to start, but if you have never been to this iconic Telluride Music Festival? You are missing out.
The weather cooperated with the sun-splashed days and temperatures hovering around 70 each day.
The music was fantastic. The highlights for me? I'll pick two each day. Friday, it as Anders Osborne and Cee-Lo Green. Saturday? Tab Benoit and its always a treat to see an 86-year-old legend play. And that legend is Buddy Guy. As for Sunday, I really enjoyed Samantha Fish and Govt Mule. Any day you get to see Warren Haynes play? It's a good day.
The beer was tasty, and the food vendors were great as always.
And the venue, Telluride Town Park? Nothing compares. You get huge views of thirteen-thousand-foot mountains and the scenery of the fall leaves just starting to pop. The capacity is about 9,000, so its very manageable. And if you can stay in historic Telluride? You can walk in and out and come and go as you please. There are not too many music festivals of any size that can offer that!
So put it on your Bucket List. If you need to check out more information on the Festival, which always takes place the third week of September, visit www.TellurideBlues.com
But for now? I need a nap!
