Telluride Blues and Brews 2021
Telluride Blues and Brews 2021. Its over. What a great weekend, and I could feel it lift the spirits of many. We had 9,000 friendly people in our Town Park for three days of sunshine, drinks, and fine music. Simply put? The event did not disappoint.
First, I'd like to thank SBG Productions for putting on this fine festival. These folks worked harder than ever to protect our safety and were very short staffed. Also keep in mind that all of the key personnel for the Festival (and Telluride Jazz) are mostly locals, so it goes a long way to supporting the Telluride economy. Many locals run food the booths as well.
The artists were great. The Lukas Nelson and Promise of Real Jam Session, was all time. The Stones were covered. Bob Dylan. And of course, Neil Young himself. The Allman Betts Band sounded great. There was gospel, some great guitar work and even tastes of punk and bluegrass throughout the 3 days!
The food scene was great- Thanks to LG for making me a White Clam slice of pizza and the folks at Mama P's with crawfish mac and cheese and many others.
If you have not been? Make it happen in 2022. That is year 28 of the Festival! Check out www.TellurideBlues.com for more information. And try to book your lodging now and tickets will go on sale in early March. And trust me. Upgrade yourselves to VIP!
