Opening Delayed Until December 6

Well, the warm late fall days were good for golfing and no "Fear Of Missing Out" while out of town, but not good for the sceduled opening of The Telluride Ski Resort.

Instead of being concerned about riding the resort, I'll distract you with some photos from Santa Teresa Costa Rica.

So its a new opening day of December 6th.  That's OK, but it has to start snowing and snow a lot.  Don;t we all deserve some pow.

Some peopel ask, why don't we just open December 15th.  Makes sense, right?  Not exactly.  By opening late, its much tougher for the Ski Resort abd others to find workers as they really need the money as quickly as possible and you will lose the to other ski areas.  And?  The regular skier from New York?  They just assum we opened late because of no snow and will book elsewhere.  So its not as easy as it appears.

Need more proof?  Ask Crested Butte how a delayed scheduled openign worked for them about 15 years ago.  Not so well.
