Mountain Terrain Update and Lift 9 Opening

The Telluride Ski Resort, as of yesterday, has sent out its Mountain Terrain update, future trail and lift openings and tentative opening date for the new Lift 9.

First and Foremost, Lifts 5 (Polar Queen) Lift 10 (Village Express) and Lift 11 (Ute Park Lift) are all now open and adding much needed terrain for the skiers and boarders.

Today, Tuesday December 13th, the Chondola and Meadows Ski Trail will also be open.

Plans for other terrain on the Telluride Ski Resort include the following. Lift 6 (Apex), Lift 12 (Prospect Express) Lift 14 (Gold Hill Express) and the tow rope Lynx will all open on Saturday December 17th. The terrain on Lift 9 (Plunge Lift) could open as soon as December 25th if we can get the egress open down to the Town of Telluride.

But don't count on riding the new Lift 9 until late January at the earliest. Equipment challenges and labor shortages have pushed this opening way back.
