Mid Year Telluride Real Estate Sales Report
June 2023 Telluride Real Estate Sales are in. Overall the numbers are very strong with over $69 million in sales revenue generated. That is 25% off of the 2022 pace, but flat with the record setting 2021. Keep in mind that June 2023 is well ahead of 2020, 2019 and 2018 numbers.
Year to date, the data is as follows. We are off 34% as compared to 2022 in the dollar volume and 37% down in the number of transactions.
The mid-year dollar volume of almost $420 million represents the 3rd best First Half for San Miguel County.
Who is leading the way? The Town of Mountain Village remains on fire and accounts for almost 2/3 of the dollar volume. On the flip side, the town of Telluride is struggling a bit to create some motivation and is off 42% in sales versus a year ago. That is due to over aggressive Sellers and some unfortunate restrictions the town of Telluride has put in place with short term rental licenses and building sizes.
The remainder of San Miguel County is down considerably, but that is more of a faction of a lack of inventory.
