Lip Sync and Community
Well, on Saturday Night, the local community radio station, KOTO, held its annual Lip Sync contest, which has been happening for over 30 years. Why is this event such a big deal?

It promotes everything about community and the Telluride community. First of all, it proves how much talent there is in Telluride. And how courageous the contestants are? Imagine how ghard it would be to perform in front of 250 of your friends on stage would be? And it also proves what a gem the Sheridan Opera House is.
But in addition to that? I love that this event sells out in days and its mostly a local crowd. So you get to see a ;lot of your friends and lets face it, its just harder and harder to catch up with people these days.
So thank you KOTO for the hard work to put the event on and don't forget to mark your calendar for next year, as its always the last weekend in January. And a special thank you to Michael Mowery, who always us on hand to take local photos and document all things Telluride!
But most of all? Thanks to the 12 performances and to the Locals who show up and support Community Radio, which can be heard at 91.7 or streaming at www.KOTO.org
