Lifts 7, 8 and 9 are open
Lifts 7, 8 and 9 are open. The Telluride Ski Resort fired up these chairs on Saturday December 19th and opened up some additional terrain for the new season. That's right, Coonskin, Oak Street and The Plunge are turning!
As seen to the right, the Mammoth Trail at the Lift 9 was skiing the best. And NO BUMPS yet! The coverage was good, but I would not go into the trees just yet. We also got some good fresh tracks on Coonskin to get the day going.
I also tried the new tacos at the Telluride Brewing Company's new tasting room underneath the Hotel Madeline. Mmmm. Get the shrimp taco first.
The best news though could be that you can now ski home on the town of Telluride side. Not only will them lessen the gondola lines but its also more COVID friendly.
A special thanks to the Telluride Ski Resort for getting these trails and lifts open in time for Christmas. We all know its not an easy thing to do.
Pray for Snow!
