Does the New York Post Really Know Telluride?

Does the New York Post really understand Telluride, Colorado?  Well, I do not think so.  But who am I?  Well, I,m a New Yorker at heart, born and bred, but have been living in Telluride for 30 years. And yes, its me Teddy Errico, Your Trsuted Advisor at LIV Sotheby's International Realty and teh Mayor of the town of Telluride. Well, what did the Post get wrong?

Well, for one? Telluride is not pretentious.  Our Locals, whetehr famous, CEO's or nobodys?  We all like being unrecognizable and we will keep it that way.  The only event that goes against this tredn is the Telluride Film festival and many locals just split town for the famed Labor Day Event.

Two?  Skiing.  Well, sorry Steamboat, you may have better snow, but its a little too flat for most real skiers and snowboarders.  And I'll bet money Telluride has shorter lift lines,

Three? Scenery. There is no better town for Rocky Mountain scenery in the State of Colorado than Telluride.  Yep, its the largest concecntration of 13,000 foot peaks in teh lower 48. Don't believe me?  Ask Coors Brewing Company why Mount Wilson s on teh Coors Light Can?

Summer Festivals.  Yep.  That's advantage Telluride.  Music.  Wine.  Film.  Yoga.  Food.  Nothing.  Yes we even has a dormant Nothign Festival Weekend.

And lastly:  Why did I put this snippet of Steamboat upo to your right?  The sprawl.  Yuck.  Telluride is protected by open space,. natural topography and National Lands.  So yes, that scarcity increases the cost of licing.  But it creates a chill vibe.  There is still not one traffic light within 37 miles.

But if you want to choose Steamboat?  Be my guest.  Its a great town.  I won't deny that.  I can even set you up with a Steamboat Sotheby's International Realty Agent to show you proerpty there.  But its no Telluride.
