A Great Weekend of Jazz
That's a wrap! The Telluride Jazz Festival is over. And what a great weekend it was. A sellout too!. And when you think of sellouts, do not confuse that with the crowd. The capacity is currently limited to 3,000 in Telluride Town Park.
What were the highlights? The variety of jazz for sure, but the Motet certainly showed off their funky style and not to be outdone in that genre was Dee Dee Bridgewater.
Other highlights included Groupo Fantasma, Terence Blanchard, Yola and the unbelievable talent of the variety of bands from the Telluride All Star Students.
Then there were some sneaky surprises, like the Ghost Funk Orchestra and Joel Ross.
The food was great, highlighted by Telluride's own Chicken Coop.
It truly is an unmatched setting of views and music that stacks it up with many other renowned jazz festivals
