48 Hours in the Grand Valley and more!

The New York Times is famous for its getaway travel articles to many places across the Globe.  Teddy Errico, your Trusted Advisor with LIV Sotheby's International Realty is famous in Telluride (HAHA) and is here to give you the details on a great regional weekend trip to the Grand Valley.

So here is 48 hours in the Grand Junction area.

Saturday

Stop 1:  Drive up to the Grand Mesa, the largest Mesa top in the world.  We did a paddleboard on one of the many lakes, but you can fish, leaf peep, hike, mountain bike or just soak in the sights,.

Stop 2:  Powderhorn Ski Resort.  Take a summer lift ride and enjoy the views of the Palisades while grabbing a cocktail at the base of the Lift.,

Stop 3.  Check in to the Wine Country Inn at the heart of Palisaade Colorado.

Stop 4.  Dinner at Pesche.  Pesche means peach, and that is what Palisade is famous for. This restaurant is a true gem.  We got the Moo Shu Duck, their take on the Asian favorite as well as the Tempura Brocolli.   

Sunday

Stop 5.  Take a walk through the Farmers Market and grab a snack along the way to prepare yourself for a day of wine tasting, by E-Bike.

Winery Stops.  We caught 6 wineries on our adventure, including a late lunch at Maison for their take on Oktoberfest.  Other winery favorites were the Blue Beryl and Carboy.  Its a fun day to ride around and drink a variety of wines.

Stop 7.  A quick casualk dinner at Fidel to for Tacos, and then some pool time.

Monday.

A round of golf in one of the most spectacular settings in the State of Colorado.  Redlands Mesa on the west side of Grand Junction.  The reward for a great 48 hours?  You get to pick your lunch?  Tiki Bird from the owners of Pesche or Taco Party from the owners of Bin 707.

Then?  Back to reality in Telluride for the 2 hour and 15 minute drive home.

So yeah.  This was a fun regional trip that it took 30 years for me to go Wine Tasting and Tour the Grand Mesa.
