2018 Telluride Jazz Festival.  Another reason to call Telluride, Colorado home.  World class musicians in an intimate setting of 3,000 in Telluride's Town Park.  I saw some great shows with Karl Denson, Bruce Hornsby and Irma Thomas.  

But my two favorites were under the radar.  Cory Henry and the Funk Apostles.  Check out his cover, also performed in Telluride, of Stayin Alive.  That's some soul and funk!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRNGVi0gTxk 

2018 Telluride Jazz was Awesome

I also really liked Cuban pianist Nachito Herrera and his trio.

Still to come this summer is the Chamber Music Festival and a few more Sunset Concert Series shows in Mountain Village with Brent Cobb and Charlie Hunter and the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. Don't forget Robert Plant is here for that one.  Yes the Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin
