Featured Restaurant: When the original Fat Alley BBQ on South Oak Street closed after 15 years, locals, second homeowners and tourists alike wondered, what will the new place be like? Well Oak has more than lived up to its past reputation as both affordable and tasty at its new location at the Camels Garden Hotel at the Base of the Gondola and Chair 8. Old staples, such as pork ribs, shrimp po boys, and fried chicken, remain. New menu items, some for the health conscious, such as seared ahi tuna salad, have been added, along with other items like macaroni and cheese. New are an outdoor patio, which will be great for winter après ski, full bar service and an expanded catering menu.
